At İkon Dental you are treated by our dentists, under the clinical standard set by our medical director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Yılmaz. Your dentist examines you, goes through your imaging and confirms the plan with you before treatment starts.

All our dentists provide general dental treatment. Each also brings fields of special interest from their training and courses, which you can read on their profile: they add to what the dentist does, they do not limit it.
A mouth is not one problem, so when your plan needs more than one field, the team plans it together and you know who does what before treatment starts.
One clinical standard
Our medical director left a university post in 2021 to lead İkon's clinical standard. He oversees how treatment is planned and carried out across our three clinics.
Combined cases, planned together
Some smiles need more than one field: orthodontics before veneers, root canal treatment before a crown. In those cases the dentists plan together, so each step is clear before the first one starts.
Who looks after you outside the treatment room?
Your dentist is not the only person you deal with. Two parts of the team stay with you from your first message to your follow-up at home.
Our general coordinator
Tülay Yılmaz is İkon's General Coordinator. If you have a question about your rights as a patient, or something about your care does not feel right, you can ask to speak to her.
Our international team
Our international department works in English, Arabic, French and Turkish. It answers your questions, arranges your appointments, transfers and hotel, and keeps in touch after you fly home.

Can I choose my dentist?
Yes, you can ask for one. If you have read a profile and would like that dentist to see you, tell us on WhatsApp or in the form, and we will tell you when and at which clinic that is possible.
If you are not sure who is right for you, you do not need to decide. Send photos of your teeth or a panoramic X-ray and tell us what you would like to change. A dentist reviews them, and we arrange your examination with one of our dentists.

Will the same dentist treat me from start to finish?
Usually, yes: your examination, plan and treatment are with one dentist. When a plan includes several fields, the team may share it. Either way, you will know who does what before treatment starts.
Do the dentists speak English?
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Yılmaz, Dt. Zeynep Ahi and Dt. Sabina Alisoy speak English. Our international department works in English, Arabic, French and Turkish and stays in touch with you throughout.
Do you treat children?
Yes. Our dentists treat children as well as adults. Tell us your child's age when you get in touch.
Can I ask for a specific dentist?
Yes. Tell us on WhatsApp or in the form, and we will tell you when and at which clinic that dentist can see you.
