Who is İkon Dental?
İkon Dental (İkon Ağız ve Diş Sağlığı Polikliniği) is a group of three dental clinics in Istanbul, in Hadımköy, Bahçeşehir and Kıraç. It brings together an associate professor, experienced dentists, modern imaging and a patient-centred way of working, for local patients and for patients who travel from abroad.
Our aim is simple to say and harder to do: to understand what each patient needs, build a treatment plan around that, carry it out to current standards of dentistry, and make the whole process feel safe and comfortable from your first visit to the end of treatment.
One of the first questions patients from abroad ask is: who will actually treat me? You can meet our dentists before you travel. All of them provide general dental treatment, and your plan is confirmed with you at the examination, before anything starts.
Our story: two chairs in Hadımköy, three clinics today
İkon Dental started in 2008 with a small practice in Hadımköy and two dental chairs. From the first day the aim was not only to treat teeth, but to build a name people could trust: for quality, for honesty and for the way patients are looked after.
The years in Hadımköy taught us to understand our patients more closely. As more people came to us, we opened our second clinic in Bahçeşehir, which grew both our capacity and the way the practice is organised. The Kıraç clinic in Esenyurt followed, and İkon became a network of three clinics in Istanbul.
Each new clinic was a chance to strengthen the team, the technology and the experience patients have with us, not only to add another address.
From Istanbul to the world
As more patients began travelling to Turkey for treatment, we built a department for international patients and obtained the International Health Tourism Authorisation Certificate from the Ministry of Health. We look after the whole journey: the first conversation, your plan, your treatment, transfers and accommodation, and the follow-up after you fly home.

Our mission is to offer reliable, high-quality, ethical and up-to-date dentistry. Every patient is different, so every plan is made for one person.
No treatment for its own sake
We do not work from a sales mindset. Treatment that a patient does not need, or that would not help or could harm them, is not offered.
One team, one plan
All our dentists provide general dental treatment, and each brings fields of special interest from their training. Cases that need more than one field are planned together by the team.

Who will look after you?
The clinical side is led by our medical director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Yılmaz, an orthodontist who left a university post to build İkon's clinical standard. What are our clinics like?
Hadımköy is where İkon began, and the place where our way of working took shape. Bahçeşehir, our second clinic, was designed to a high standard of comfort and design. Kıraç in Esenyurt, our third, brought the same approach to a wider part of the city.

How do we look after international patients?
Having treatment in another country is not the same as visiting a dentist at home, so we look after the whole journey, not only the time in the chair.
- Before you travel: you send photos or an X-ray, a dentist reviews them, and you receive your options, a price range and the days you would need in Istanbul.
- In Istanbul: we coordinate your airport transfer and your stay with partner hotels near the clinics, such as the Sheraton Grand Istanbul Esenyurt, Days Inn by Wyndham Istanbul Esenyurt and Boris Hotel.
- In your language: our international department works in English, Arabic, French and Turkish.
- After you fly home: your coordinator stays in touch and your dentist is one message away.
Seeing a patient only once, and within a fixed number of days, is never a reason to lower the quality of care. Read more on our page for international patients.
Is İkon Dental authorised to treat patients from abroad?
Yes. İkon holds the International Health Tourism Authorisation Certificate of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health, for its Başakşehir (Bahçeşehir) and Hadımköy clinics. The certificate shown here is for Başakşehir, No. ST-4902.
Which technology do we use?
Accurate diagnosis comes first, so our clinics use modern imaging and digital dentistry: 3D tomography (CBCT), panoramic and intraoral X-rays, intraoral scanners in place of impression paste, 3D resin printers for models and surgical guides, and class-B autoclave sterilisation with HEPA air filtration and UV-C lamps.
