20 YEAR OLD TEETH AND IMMEDIATE TEETH

We use the most modern treatment methods and technological tools to detect and treat every problem in your mouth and teeth.

20-year-old teeth are the last teeth to come out in the mouth and often get stuck and cause problems for many people because they cannot find a place. The 20-year-old teeth, also known as the 3rd molars, are 4 in total, on the right and left sides of the upper and lower jaws. However, in some people it may not be congenital at all, and in some people it may remain completely embedded in the bone. However, most of the time, wisdom teeth on all sides can be shaped according to the compaction of the existing teeth and jaw structure, and either half come out and half remain half buried under the gingiva or remain completely under the bone. Although it varies according to position and oral hygiene, wisdom teeth are often problematic:
• Pain,
• Facial swelling,
• Bad breath,
• Decaying both itself and the front molar from the interface due to the difficulty of cleaning,
• Forcing the existing teeth into crookedness by disrupting the dental jaw structure,
• Melting the root of the adjacent tooth,
• Joint problems due to disrupting the bite pattern,
• May cause cyst formation. Since it is not known exactly what problem will cause wisdom teeth and there is no contribution to the existing chewing function, it is usually recommended to be removed most of the time.

HOW IS THE PROCEDURE FOR IMMEDIATE TEETH EXTRACTION?

The extraction procedure completely depends on the position of the 20-year-old tooth, the amount of impaction and the existing anatomical formations. If the position of the 20-year-old tooth is suitable and completely removed, it can be extracted like a normal tooth extraction. However, the experienced approach of specialist physicians is required in the extraction of semi-impacted and impacted wisdom teeth. It is very important to make a good planning before the shooting and to take 3D tomography if necessary to examine the anatomical formations. With the help of these, both the extraction is much more comfortable and the tooth nerves and other tooth structures can be protected. As with all tooth extractions, the extraction of wisdom teeth is performed under local anesthesia. After the extraction planning, the gingiva covering the impacted and semi-impacted tooth is opened with a small incision. Depending on the curvature of the root structure of the tooth and the amount of bone coating available, the tooth is extracted either as a whole or by fragmentation. Depending on the condition of the opened area, stitches are placed or it is expected to heal on its own. Again, depending on the condition of the operation, antibiotics are given before and/or after the operation.

WHAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AFTER THE EMBEDDED TOOTH EXTRACTION?

Although it varies from person to person, there may be sensitivity and pain after an impacted tooth extraction. The reduction of pain and sensitivity depends on the speed of the recovery period. For this reason, oral care, cleaning and the type and shape of the foods consumed are very important.
In the first 3 days, warm and soft foods should be consumed and the seams should not be damaged.
In order not to damage the drafting area, hard sharp foods, grainy and sticky foods due to the risk of escaping into the shooting area, and milk and dairy products (cheese, yoghurt, etc.) that are risky in terms of bacteria should not be consumed.
Smoking should be avoided as much as possible for at least 24 hours.
After each meal, the shooting area should be brushed with a soft brush and should not be feared.
After tooth brushing, the teeth and extraction area should be rinsed with antiseptic mouthwash or salt water recommended by the physician. After gargling, rinse with water should not be done for 30 minutes, and food should not be eaten.

DOES PAIN AND FACIAL BLOODY OCCUR AFTER EVERY BURIED TOOTH EXTRACTION?

Impacted tooth extraction pain and swelling of the relevant area vary from person to person, depending on the difficulty of the relevant area and the experience of the dentist performing the extraction. There is usually no pain after the extraction of easily positioned teeth with experienced hands. However, swelling is usually a subject that varies from person to person and usually occurs after impacted tooth extraction. The amount of swelling and pain may increase, especially in teeth with difficult positioning. While pain relievers are effective for pain, cold ice application for swelling is one of the most effective solutions.
