HOW IS THE SMILE DESIGN PROCEDURE? WHAT STAGES ARE THERE?

In the first interview, the individual is examined and the dental health status is examined radiologically and clinically like the classical patient. If there are cavities or other problems in the teeth, first of all, dental treatments are performed to solve these problems. After that, the smile design is started and detailed photographs and 3D scans of the mouth are taken from the patient and transferred to the computer environment. In the design made with special programs in the computer environment, the patient’s age, gender, face shape, lip thickness-front, gingival structure and tooth structure are taken into consideration. After these detailed studies, more than one design is made for the person and a joint decision is made together with the experience of the physician. Then, necessary procedures are performed to apply this design to the teeth.

WHAT ARE SMILE DESIGN APPLICATIONS?

Smile aesthetics is basically a structure consisting of white aesthetics and pink aesthetics. Processes called white aesthetics are applications made on teeth. Teeth whitening (bleaching), ceramic, zirconium and porcelain crowns, aesthetic bonding, tooth structure (shape and size) correction (recontouring) and implant treatments are included in this scope. The procedures called pink aesthetics are gingival applications. Gingivectomy, gingivoplasty and lip position correction are the procedures in this area.
