LAMINATED (LEAF PORCELAIN)

We use the most modern treatment methods and technological tools to detect and treat every problem in your mouth and teeth.

Laminate, also known as leaf porcelain, is an aesthetic solution applied only to the front surfaces of very thin teeth. It is a perfect solution for individuals who are not satisfied with their teeth aesthetically and functionally and want to have beautiful teeth and smiles without minimal or no dental procedures. These restorations, which are made of a very thin glassy material, also have a very natural appearance, as they imitate the enamel structure very well and transmit light.

Implants are one of the best treatment methods in today’s dentistry, as they completely replace the existing teeth. Because when it is placed inside the existing jawbone, it completely combines with the bone and becomes a very durable structure. It creates a complete tooth structure with teeth in porcelain or zirconium structure placed on this durable structure. It offers a better solution in terms of function and aesthetics compared to the existing tooth, which is yellowed and worn, and the root surface is inflamed.

IN WHICH CASE IS LAMINA PREFERRED?

It is a preferred application for individuals who are not satisfied with the color, size, shape, slight crowding or spacing of the teeth, their aesthetic harmony with each other and the face, but also who want minimal processing, maximum aesthetics and natural appearance.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF LAMINATED?

The biggest advantage is that the result is achieved with much less abrasion on the tooth compared to other aesthetic applications. It is an application that is completed in a shorter time without too much fuss on closing and gingival compliance adjustments, since minimal procedures are performed. Since they are structures that are not likely to change in color or be damaged, they are restorations that remain in function for a very long time with the appearance and structure of the first day.

HOW IS THE LAMINATED APPLICATION PROCEDURE?

Before laminating, problems on teeth and gingiva are determined by examining both clinically and radiologically. Then, a digital scan can be made and a prediction can be provided by making a smile design for the patient through programs. Temporary teeth are prepared in the laboratory with the mock-up process for patients who want to see the real-life adaptation of their 3D digital design temporarily in the mouth. After changing these prepared teeth a little after interactive conversations with the patient, the final laminate process is presented. If this preliminary preparation is liked, intraoral clinical procedures are started for the preparation of the laminates.
First of all, as in all dental procedures, the relevant areas to be abraded are anesthetized with local anesthesia. Depending on the position and structure of each tooth, minimal or no abrasion is made on the front and side surfaces of the teeth. Local anesthesia may not be applied in areas that are not abraded or will be done very little. After the preparation for the mouth, the prepared state of the teeth is transferred to the laboratory environment with the help of traditional measurements or digital measurements. Final restorations prepared in the laboratory are sent to the clinic for bonding. The laminates coming to the clinic can be rehearsed in the patient one by one, and the laboratory can send them again to make changes on the areas that are not liked. After the final controls, if the patient likes it in the rehearsals, all of the laminates are adhered with special adhesives and the laminated process is completed in a short time like 1 week.

IS LAMINE TREATMENT PAINFUL?

Although it depends on the amount of abrasion done, the amount of pain during the treatment is very less, since much less tooth tissue is intervened in the laminate application compared to other aesthetic methods.
