FLAP OPERATIONS

It is a procedure performed in the presence of more than 5 mm gingival pockets. The gingiva and soft tissues surrounding the tooth are opened and the root surface is fully visible. Existing dental stones, inflammatory tissues and other harmful structures are cleaned with a meticulous study. The cleaned areas are washed with special agents and solutions. The flap tissue, which is opened again, is sewn on the root structures that are cleaned, disinfected and the surface is smoothed. And it is left to the recovery period. The advantage of this process is the visual cleaning of the surfaces. A healthier connection is established between the sensitively cleaned tooth surface and the gingival structure.

Since the procedure is performed with local anesthesia, the patient does not feel pain. After the procedure, either no or very little pain is expected compared to other dental procedures. After the procedure, medications (antibiotics and mouthwash) prescribed by the physician should be used. In addition, the rules that must be observed in the curettage procedure should be followed.
